His songs are about love, being young and how difficult it can be to find yourself when you are in a new city.
He has a melancholy in his voice which is also reflected in his lyrics. Malte August plays the piano and that is often where he gets his ideas for new songs.
He has studied at the internationally recognized Limpi Music songwriting school in Lillehammer. Here he found out it was through the danish language that he could best express his feeling and history.
